Outside lighting in Breamlea

Sacred Electrical completed an outside lighting project in Breamlea after a homeowner reported a lighting circuit repeatedly tripping the RCD at the main switchboard. The job involved fault finding, repairs and maintenance, and the replacement of weather-damaged exterior lights. Diagnosing an outside lighting fault in Breamlea

The first priority was to identify what was causing the lighting circuit to trip. A systematic testing process traced the fault to a damaged cable running from a switch inside the house to an outside sensor light.

The damaged cable had created a short to earth, which caused the RCD to operate as designed and disconnect the circuit. Further inspection also found three outside flood lights that were no longer working properly because of weather-related deterioration.
